Description
The Sta-Lok Former is a precision-engineered component made from marine-grade 316 stainless steel, designed for use with Sta-Lok Self-Fit Terminals when reusing or replacing fittings. It ensures wire rope terminations seat securely and accurately, maintaining strength and load integrity across a range of rigging applications.
Suitable for both right-hand and left-hand lay wire ropes, including 1×19, 7×19, 7×7 and compacted strand constructions, the Former accommodates diameters from 3 mm up to 26 mm (1/8″ to 1″). The component fits inside the Sta-Lok terminal socket and supports the wire before the wedge is inserted, ensuring correct positioning of strands and reinforcing the termination.
Easy to install with basic hand tools, the Sta-Lok Former allows re-termination without replacing the entire terminal. Durable and reusable, it offers a cost-effective, practical solution for maintaining Sta-Lok fittings and preserving the strength and reliability of standing rigging or structural wire systems.
