Description
The Sta-Lok Long Stud is a precision self-fit terminal made from marine grade 316 stainless steel, designed to deliver secure, serviceable wire terminations without the need for swaging. Its elongated stud form allows compatibility with various fittings and spreader layouts, giving riggers flexibility in integrating with chainplates, spreader ends or custom brackets.
Supplied for use with 1×19 wire rope, the Long Stud can be adapted for 7×7, 7×19 or compacted wire via the correct wedge. It supports both right-hand and left-hand lay wires in sizes ranging from 3 mm to 26 mm (1/8″ to 1″). The body is built for durability under constant and dynamic loads, while on-site installation only requires basic hand tools—no pre-measurement necessary.
Because the Long Stud is reusable, only the wedge needs replacement when re-terminating, making it cost effective over repeated use. Its robust construction and adaptability make it ideal for standing rigging changes, repairs or custom layouts where strength and flexibility both matter.
