Description
Profile Line/Luff Line is a specialist sailmaking rope designed for optimal performance where compactness, durability and abrasion resistance are essential. It features an 8-plait polyester core which provides solid strength and stable structure. Wrapped around this is a 16-plait braided polyester cover with a very short lay length, producing a smooth surface that performs well under load and resists chafe where the rope slides through luff grooves or against sails.
The short cover lay ensures the rope lies flat and neat, reducing wear on both sail cloth and hardware. Available in diameters from 3 mm up to 8 mm, Profile Line is supplied in white and is suited for sailmakers’ applications such as bolt ropes or luff seams. Its balanced polyester build gives reliable breaking loads, good handling even in moist conditions, and long service life in the marine environment.
